Another update

Thursday, March 30, 2006

Well Tuesday's CT scans did not go as planned. We ended up having to reschedule for tomorrow (Friday) at 9am. It's a long and boring story. BUT the good news is it doesn't matter that we had to put off the scans until tomorrow because we can't get her results until next Wednesday either way. The bad news is that we did however waste an entire day and Scott had to leave work early for this and will have to miss some work tomorrow. We also had two kids and baby-sitters waiting around for us at home. It was just an incredibly exhausting and frustrating day.

I feel really terrible that a lot of you were fasting and praying for us specifically that day. I know that your prayers and fasting were not wasted though. Scott and I appreciate so much all of you who are praying for Emily and our family.

Also thank you to our INCREDIBLE neighbors who have been bringing us dinners and gift cards. You have gone above and beyond blessing us. And Mom and Dad you guys know what you did for us and just thank you so much it was such a HUGE blessing. Also thanks Mom, Gretchen, and Georgie for being so flexible on Tuesday and for giving up such a huge part of your day to watch Frank and Madison. Last but not least thanks Kunze's and Grandma Sofie having us over on Sunday and for serving us lunch and dinner!

Here are some more pictures from when Emily was in the hospital. She had SO many visitors and I just wish I had taken pictures of everyone.

Emily wearing the cool shampooing cap thing.
This is a bear that Emily's great Aunt Missy gave to her. This bear belonged to Missy and is 30 years old!! How neat is that!
Here you see Emily playing The Mexican Train game with Frank, her Grandma and Grandpa, (Scott's parents) and Scott.
Scottie.
Jami (one of my very best friends) came all the way from Michigan to give me a hug and visit with Emily. Here you see her building a bear with Emily. You can also see that Jami is still attached to her binki. It's really quite embarrassing going out in public with her. ;o)
This is Jami's BEAUTIFUL 3 year old daughter Lydia. Lydia wants to marry Frank.
This is Jami's other GORGEOUS 1 year old daughter Hannah. She will probably want to marry Frank too.
This is Jami's sister-in-law Sarah and her baby playing Guess Who with Emily.
Jami and Me.
Emily's small group leader from church came to visit Emily again. She brought with her cards from the girls in Emily's small group. Thank you for coming again Michelle!!!!
Frankie feeling very tired and sick.
Scott sleeping on the floor in a waiting room across the hall. His 6'3" body wouldn't fit on the 3' loveseat (I'm not sure if that's one word or two, I'm going with one).
This is my other very best friend Stephanie who spent a whole day with me while Emily was in the hospital. Thanks Stephy!!

Me and my girl.

The hand with the bandaid is the hand Emily's IV was in and after they took it out you can see that her hand was VERY swollen and bruised.

i am absolutly loVin' all the pictures!! i am sorry you went through what you did on tuesday, i can only imagine what an emotionally exhausting rollercoaster that must have been. I hate to sound trite...but God has a plan, and when things like this happens i cant help but wonder, if something with the machine could have malfunctioned that day and messed up the reading, causing you to do it over anyway, but causing poor Em to go through it twice....or what about the techs or the people reading the results...what if on tuesday a mistake could've been made or something overlooked that come friday, won't happen....or wwhat if, during these next few days god is doing a healing work and come that new day, there will be no tumor at all? what i am saying, is there is a reason...God has this all planned out, he has been with you up to know, he is with you RIGHT now, and he has ALREADY been there in the future with you through this....HE KNOWS...and He WORKS...he is active!!

Take that verse, Phillipians 4:7..."And the Peace of God which surpasses all understandingm, will guard your hearts and minds, through christ jesus..."

"and the peace of GOD"...NOT the peace of man, or of worldy hope, or of even rally great friends lol..the PEACE OF GOD...BIG time peace here!

"which surpasses all understanding.."
not just, they are peaceful and i cant for the life of me understand why kind of peace...but the peace that surpassesthe calm that comes with my "knowing"...

"Will gaurd your hearts and mind through christ jesus..." this is my favorite part b/c "guard" is a verb...it is an active word, and it shows that this amazing unconceiveable peace of GOD is ACTIVE in GUARDING our hearts against all attacks, and of course the added reassurance and re-edifying that christ is with us, if this is only possibel through christ and it is taking place as a PROMISE to us...than how else could it be happeneing without christ being right here, right now, AND right there...int he furture, withh all doubts, fears, worries...Hes there and he's gaurding youa nd he's keeping you. He's so active!

this verse, broken down this way has helped me so much in my latest trials. i guess overall i shared with you b/c i want you to know that although this confusing cancellation reschudling stupid annoying thing has happened...there are reasons and what has happened God has done for everyone's good...he is active...it is okay. :)

love you guys! package will be in the mail by this weekend!

What a beautiful testimony to God's Abundant Love...

Thank you for sharing your wonderful family and friends with us. The pictures really capture the "Love and Compassion" that must fill Emily's room each day.

God has His purpose for everything... for reasons you are not aware Tuesday was not meant to be. Emily is in the best hands ever... His Will Be Done... In His Timing...

Crystal your precious family is thought about and prayed for each day †.

Thank you to everyone for being there for Emily and her family... what a blessing you all have been †.

**Lots of Hugs**

Deborah

Tell Scott he's taller than me. Dang it. I hate when people are taller than me.

I lost my binky...and I'm so sad.

My post is about a contest in our area put on by our local TV weather station. They "rescue" yards, living rooms, kitchens...this spring it's the yard. They ask for a 200 word essay and photos...I had to make it ryhme to stand out:) The winner gets a $4000 lawn makeover! I know the chances of winning are 1-10000000000 but hey, I had fun writing it!

I still don't know what's happening this weekend...eeeekkkkk.

LOVE YOU!
