My amazing wonderful friend Jami posted this for me on her blog today.

Gentleness to Ourselves (For my gentle friend)

One form of gentleness we should practice is towards ourselves. We should never get irritable with ourselves because of our imperfections. It is reasonable to be displeased and sorry when we commit faults, but not fretful or spiteful to ourselves....

When your heart has fallen, raise it gently...
---Francis de Sales

You are beautiful. I am honored and blessed to be your friend.

Thank you Jami I love you so much and you are so amazing to me. Thank you for always being her for me and for always speaking truth to me. I am so excited that you are coming all the way from Michigan tomorrow just to hug me, YOU are beautiful, and I am honored and blessed to be YOUR friend.

UPDATE:

Hello blog family today was a better day it started off kind of rocky but by the end of the evening things got better. I have been doing a lot of self searching and really trying to learn to love and to be loved.

Anyway Emily is looking so good and was in great spirits today. My sister Gretchen spent most of the day with us coloring with Emily and playing with her in the play room at the hospital. I forced my husband to go home during Madison's nap (she sleeps everyday from 2-5) so he can get some really good sleep and he did. Scott is fighting a cold right now too so he is exhausted. While Scott was home napping I napped at the hospital and it was a REALLY good nap. I just really love naps they just feel so good. So that was just great.

Emily's calcium levels are still low so she is still in the hospital and we don't know when she can come home. I have to admit that I am really worried about this calcium stuff and I don't really understand it.

I think Madison is finally getting better and her fever has broken. Today she was playing and starting to act like her old self. So that is good news.

Let's see there isn't much else going on we are just waiting and trying to get Emily's calcium levels up so she can come home and we can all be together again.

Thank you Steph, loved truly, Jessica, Molly, Deborah lavis, Sammy, Julie, Tomi, Kristy, Kari, Jeannine, Spunky, Jami, Amy, Don, ai boon, Holly, Linda, and Kodiak for lifting me up in prayer today and for encouraging and for reminding me that I need to cling to God and that He is more than able to give me rest and that He IS here and He does love me and Emily and my family SO much and I just need to let Him carry my burdens. Why is it sometimes so hard to do something that sounds so easy?

Good night everyone.

Just checkin' in on ya... praying for all of you. So glad to hear that Madison is doing better. Poor little thing.

How are Emily's spirits? I know she wanted to be in church today? I will be thinking of her today and keeping her in prayer.

So glad to hear you will be having company. I pray you have a wonderful time.

Remember... this is a short time compared to everything else, and this is your life right now. God has kept Emily there for a reason, and although it's not what you expected, you have a little girl who is doing alright and you are coming off the mountain, not climbing up (like you were just days ago). Trust in the Lord with all your heart... lean not on your own understanding... HE knows best. (I know you know this... just a reminder.) :-)

Have a blessed day. I will be thinking of you.

In Him,
Amy

Poor Emily..she still has to drink that bitter tasting calcium. Why can't they put that in a pill?

they can, it's just not absorbed predictably and as readily as the liquid.

We are keeping you all lifted up!
